Up Close: Physiolab Rejuvenate MTS Serum

In our previous posts we looked at the Physiolab REVIVE Elixir & Whitening Tone Up.

In today's post, we're looking at the Physiolab Rejuvenate Serum. As you might guess from the name, this serum rejuvenate the skin. Researching the ingredients used in this serum was really interesting! Just like the last post, at the end I'll list the main, active ingredients and their benefits. I highly encourage anyone who likes to nerd out on skincare ingredients to have fun on google & google.scholar, researching Acetyl Hexapeptide8, commonly known as Botox in a Jar... Yes, you read that correctly and YES - this serum has this incredible ingredient! As always, if you have any questions please email me, leave a comment or send me a message on the socials. I love to hear from you guys!

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 – also known as Argireline, is derived from the Botulin toxin, with the toxic effects removed. Commonly referred to as ‘Botox in a jar’, acetyl hexapeptide-8 is a peptide compound used to reduce the appearance of fine lines caused by repeated facial expressions, such as crow’s feet, glabellar lines or nasolabial lines. Research shows that Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 can reduce wrinkle depth by up to 30% when used for 30 consecutive days.

Due to its similar structure to botulinum toxin, acetyl hexapeptide-8 in considered an excellent, non-invasive alternative to Botox.

Blueberry extract - the antioxidants present in blueberries combat free radicals from sun exposure, which can cause damage to our skin over time and speed up the aging process. Blueberries are also high in anthocyanin, which has been shown to support collagen synthesis.

Red Flower Complex – Safflower bud, Lotus & Rosa Damascena extracts. Safflower buds have been discovered to be richer in phenolic compound, amino acids and α-tocopherol than safflower seeds. Lotus flower and leaf/root extracts contain a significant amount of potent antioxidants, flavonoids, polyphenol, and vitamins. As a result, these compounds provide natural antiaging benefits to the skin. Antioxidants protect the skin from free radicals that damage skin and cause signs of aging. Rosa Damascena is rich in vitamin C and has powerful antioxidant benefits, making it a fantastic ingredient for anti-ageing skincare.

In summary, this serum offers a botox-like effect that delivers anti-ageing, hydration and antioxidant protection, reducing the appearance of fine lines and preventing new lines forming.
